This is gonna sound strange, and not sure if it sticks with your diet, but my friend gave me a great recipe for sore throats.
Campbell's condensed Chicken Noodle soup. Sprinkle bowl with cayenne pepper until the surface is coated. Should taste "warm". Clears up the sore throat and sinus. Feel better soon!
I am going up the stairs to climb into bed to hack and bitch the entire night, so I can get up tomorrow, say "fuck," and start the whole cycle over again. Leslie offered to put a shot behind my ear tonight, ending the misery.
I fucking hate this.... And I know the son of a botch who got me sick too.
Dear Jack, I understand you are ill. Oh well. Sorry but I didn't notice as I was busy riding my motorcycle. I am sure your friends are worried and offering remedies. Spring break has begun and I have to go and look at nubile things on the beach in bikinis. Get well. Or not your friend Michael Beattie.
Do take care to recuperate speedily. There is an advantage of the down time, plan for the better weather.

You're just playing for sympathy cause your birthday is coming....
ReplyDeleteTake 2 aspirins and a bottle of single malt scotch (Islay preferred). You probably won't feel any better, but you won't care as much.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon. I hear it's a nasty one going around this year.
Get a shot, for crissake.
ReplyDeleteSlacker!
ReplyDeleteWhat a whiner. A few sniffles and you blow off the most important stuff in my life...
ReplyDeleteGet well.
NOW what do we do? ...

Dear Sick Jack
ReplyDeleteMrs Nikos (a multi talented Doctor both in Radiology and Natural healing) recommends gargling with your own 1st production of the day urine.
Personally I would not do it, but I'm only passing cabernet sauvignon.

Chicken Soup, Chicken Poop. The only thing to get through this is my grandfather's old family recipe for a hot toddy, whiskey, lemon, and honey.
